Online CD Register



In the UK it is a requirement set out by the 1968 Medicines Act that all medicines classified as "Schedule 1" and "Schedule 2" "Controlled Drugs" (CDs) received or supplied by an organisation must be recorded with the following datasets:

  • Name and address of person or firm supplied
  • Details of authority to possess-prescriber or license holder details
  • Quantity supplied
  • Whether the person who collected the drug was the patient, the patient’s representative or a healthcare professional acting on behalf of the patient;
  • If the person who collected the drug was a healthcare professional acting on behalf of the patient, that person’s name and address;
  • If the person who collected the drug was the patient or the patient’s representative, whether evidence of identity was requested of that person (yes/no);And whether evidence of identity was provided by the person collecting the drug (yes/no).s received or supplied by a registered pharmacy.
